V terminu od 20.07. do 01. 08.2020 bo v Kanadskem Torontu potekalo Svetovno atletsko prvenstvo za veterane (WMACS). Tule lahko najdete video najavo za ta zanimiva atletska tekmovanja v prihodnjem letu: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB-YTghDDBE.

Seveda se bomo tekmovanj udeležili tudi atletski veterani iz Slovenije.

Od organizatorja oz. Izvršnega odbora WMACS 2020 - Svetovno atletsko prvenstvo za veterane smo prejeli obvestilo, da je svetovno prvenstvo Masters Athletics Toronto 2020 odpovedano zaradi krize COVID-19. Razmišljajo o drugih možnostih, vključno s preložitvijo za eno leto, je pa že sedaj jasno, da prvenstva, ki je bilo načrtovano za termin 20. julij -1. avgust 2020 ne bo. Čakamo na nadaljnja navodila.

WORLD MASTERS ATHLETICS TORONTO 2020 ORGANIZING COMMITTEE AND THE WORLD MASTERS ATHLETICS COUNCIL ANNOUNCECHAMPIONSHIPS WILL BE CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Championships will not take place July 20 –August 1, 2020 Toronto.
We regret to inform you that the World Masters AthleticsToronto 2020 Championships will be CANCELLED due to the COVID-19 crisis. This has been a very difficult decision for the WMATO2020 Executive Board, however, given the globaluncertaintyand with the health and safety of our staff, athletes, officials, volunteers and partners as our first priority, it is necessary for us to cancel at this time. We are considering other options including postponing for up to a year but the event will NOT take place July 20 -August 1, 2020. Furtherannouncementswill be made when possible. Details and information regarding entry refunds will be forthcoming. We thank you for your commitment to the WMA movement and trust that we will be stronger on the other side of this.
